The meeting aims to catalyse cross-fertilisation of ideas by brining together experts from a diverse range of fields including, but not limited to, physiology, engineering, cell biology, chemistry, and physics. The list of speakers includes scientists working in different areas of membrane biophysics, covering both computational and experimental methods. The keynote address will be given by Prof Patricia Bassereau from the Institut Curie, France
The program covers topics from simple model membranes to complex biological membranes including membrane structure and dynamics, membrane-mediated signalling, ion channels and transporters, and membrane fusion and exocytosis. The conference will provide a positive and informal environment to encourage students and junior researchers to interact with leaders in the field and for everyone to exchange ideas.
The conference will be held from from June 5-10, 2022, at Granlibakken in Tahoe City, California.
There are travel awards for students and postdoc available (must be presenting at the conference).
