The 2022 annual meeting of the Australian Society for Biophysics 

We are looking forward to welcoming you in person at the University of Tasmania

This is a joint meeting of the ASB and the Australian Physiological Society The program will contain joint sessions, in addition to dedicated streams for each Society. The full conference program and associated events are open to all delegates registered for the conference. There will also be a series of ECR events dedicated to supporting our ASB young scientists.

The organising committee is looking forward to putting together an exciting program with plenary speakers and dedicated biophysics session, which include:

Travel Support

The Jan Anderson Carers Award offers financial support for ASB members with primary caring responsibilities whilst they are attending scientific conferences.

The ASB also offers travel bursaries to students who are a member of the ASB and will be submitting an abstract to present a talk or poster at the 2022 ASB meeting. To be eligible, the student must reside outside the city in which the conference is being held.

Registration

Registration for the conference and abstract submission for Free Communication and Poster sessions are now open.

To take advantage of the reduced member registration fee, please make sure you are an ASB member before you register for the conference. The code for reduced registration was sent to existing members. You can join or renew your membership here, and you will be provided with a code for reduced registration once your membership payment has been processed.

The ASB are also assisting with ECR attendance by offsetting early bird registration to a reduced rate of $250. This reduced rate is available to ASB members who received their PhD in the last seven years (taking into account career interruptions). To access this rate, please email the ASB secretary Dr Donna Whelan d.whelan@latrobe.edu.au with your PhD graduation date and your current role.

When preparing your abstract, please follow the Abstract Preparation Guidelines. If you are an ASB member, you will also need to nominate the theme of your abstract.
