The 2017 annual meeting of the Australian Society for Biophysics will take place on Monday 27 – Wednesday 29 November 2017 at the University of Technology Sydney. The meeting will bring together biophysicists and related scholars from across Australia and is the peak biophysics conference in Australasia.
The ASB gratefully acknowledges the generous support of the following sponsors; the University of Technology Sydney, Thermo Fisher Australia, Lastek, GE Life Sciences, the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute and the University of Wollongong .
In addition to covering the basics of cryo-EM and what it is useful for, the workshop will have a focus on the practical aspects of how to prepare samples, data collection strategies and data processing for single particle CryoEM as well as covering the basics of tomography. We will also have representatives from each of the major CryoEM centres in Australia who will outline what facilities are currently available and/or will be coming on line in the near future in Australia.
