ASB2026 combines an exciting scientific program with the welcoming, collaborative atmosphere that makes the Australian Society for Biophysics unique. Across five days, delegates will enjoy inspiring keynote presentations, selected talks, posters, networking events, Society celebrations, and opportunities to build new collaborations.
As part of the Australian Society for Biophysics 50th Anniversary Meeting, we are delighted to present a special joint symposium with the International Conference on Biophysics and Biomedical Sciences (ICBBS 2026), held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the Biophysical Society of Japan and the Federation Meeting of Korean Societies for Biomolecular and Biophysical Sciences in Busan, Korea. Broadcast live between Bendigo and Busan, this hybrid session celebrates the international collaborations fostered through the Asian Biophysics Association (ABA) and showcases outstanding research from across the region.
The symposium will open with an update on the ABA from its President, Professor Takayuki Nishizaka, before featuring six invited scientific presentations. Professor Raymond Norton and Associate Professor Izzy Jayasinghe will present live from Bendigo, while four invited speakers will join remotely from Busan as part of the ICBBS 2026 program. Together, the session highlights cutting-edge advances in contemporary biophysics while strengthening scientific connections across the Asia-Pacific region.
