The Australian Physiological Society and the Australian Society for Biophysics held their annual meetings as a joint meeting in 2007.The meeting took place from 2nd to 5th of December 2007 at Newcastle city Hall. The Young Biophysicist Award for 2007 was awarded to Tamsyn Hilder for his talk "Boltzmann-statistics analysis of solid state NMR experiments".

The Student Awards went to Anthony Dona and Sophie Goodchild.
